RUGBY MASTER CLASSES  

Wizards of Oulu Rugby club is committed to promoting and developing Rugby as a sport and culture in Northern Finland. Through the further development and enhancement of existing players skills and decision making through training sessions or "Master Classes" with experienced coaches we hope to achieve the clubs goals.

The first 7's Masterclass Held at Heinäpää Jalkopallohalli, Oulu on the 28th October 2023 was a success! Thank you to Drew Warwick-Smith @finlandsevens for sharing his knowledge, many of us present learnt new skills and other improved their skill set. Thank you to the players from Kiuru Rugby Club, Kiuruvesi; Oulu rugby Club, Oulu and Wizards of Oulu Rugby Club for attending and being so supportive and encouraging to all the players present. Looking forward to implementing the skills learnt and planning the next Master Class!

The players that showed the greatest improvement as the class progressed and they implemented and applied all the skills that Drew was looking for were awarded a small prize of Asahi Super Dry beer - The Rugby World Cup beer! For the ladies the award went to Salla Jauhianinen from Kiuru Rugby Club and for the men Tomohiro Semba from Wizards of Oulu Rugby.
